MODIS Flood Extent in 2011

False-color MODIS composite depicting widespread flooding in 2011. Our analyses use change detection algorithms to track surface water extent in near real-time.
Historic (2003 - Present) frequency of surface water according to flood detection algorithm applied to length of MODIS record and aggregated for all monsoon seasons.
